Report 981105001432

The picture was taken the 5.November 1998, at 00:14:32

It is the light inside the circle, that is the interesting one. The color on the light is put there by the software.

There has been no air-traffic in that area at that time. No detection on the radars at the nearest airport.

If you study the picture you see that the light has been moving in a north-south or south-north direction. Every picture is made by putting two "half-pictures" together. The first "half-picture" consist of every second line: Line no. 0,2,4,6 and so on. The next "half-picture" consist of the next every second line. Line no. 1,3,5,7 and so on. It is 20 [ms] between each half-picture. It seems that it has moved 3 pixel between each half-picture. One picture is 768 pixel wide and cover 107°. That gives 0,14° per pixel. The speed has been 0,42°/0,02[s] = 21° per second.

The video show no light. It has disappeared during those 2-3 seconds between the picture and the start of the videorecorder. It might have been one strong flash, which is moving, or it has moved so fast that it was out of the view before the videorecorder started.

It is still Unidentified.
